1. Regardless of the size of violation of measurement variance between groups, the multilevel structure actually results in the measurement invariance. Thus the poor performance of the multigroup CFA appraoch is not surprising because it is totally a wrong model.

2. Table 1 illustrates that the multi-group multilevel CFA approach is not always doable under certain conditions. If so, the practical value of the proposed approach is not as high as we think.
